About the Artist

Alyssa Jones, under the name Toadshorts, is an artist from the Middle Georgia area. As a Fine Arts graduate from Georgia Southwestern State University, she has picked up multiple mediums, from printmaking and screen printing, painting, photography, digital, and fiber arts.

Unable to stick with just one medium allows her to do a variety of work with wide spread meaning. Some of the main focuses of her art include personal growth, mental health, and solidarity activism. In contrast, she often uses bright colors and misleading images of playful things such as clowns, sheep, and angels for the more serious subjects. She also creates some projects for the sake of kitsch that you can find your own meaning within the pieces, or none at all.
